2013[]

Yamamoto was signed for Dome Racing Team, who entered under the name Weider Modulo Dome Racing. He took his first victory at Suzuka along with his teammate, Frédéric Makowiecki. He finished 4th with 56 points in the Drivers' Championship.

2014[]

Once Makowiecki pulled out from the series, Jean-Karl Vernay became Yamamoto's new teammate. The second round at Fuji was an disappointment for all the Hondas, as all the cars retired from the race due to mechanical failures. Yamamoto's car retired but it managed to be classified in the points. At the end of June, Makowiecki suddenly announced that he want to be back to racing in Japan and replaced Vernay at the fourth round to the seventh round. Yamamoto once again took his second victory at the heavy-raining Fuji race, which was halted once due to heavy rain. He took a podium finish at Suzuka, finishing 3rd along with his teammate. At the end of the season he finished 3rd along with his teammate, Takuya Izawa, who replaced Makowiecki at the last race.
