1997-2001: Team Kunimitsu[]

2002-2006: Team LeMans[]

In 2002, Iida joined Team LeMans, partnering with Juichi Wakisaka. His team took the title at the final round of the race.

In 2003 at the third round of the season, his teammate Wakisaka was on a battle against former F1 driver and Team TOM'S driver Érik Comas at the final lap of the race, taking the win after the dramatic moment.

However, after finishing 7th in the final round of the race, Iida's team ranked 2nd in the Driver's Championship and the Team's Championship, leaving Nismo to take the title without a single victory.

2008: Team principal and substitutement[]

After announcing that he will not continue to race in the series, Iida became a team principal for Team SARD.

When Team LeMans driver Daisuke Ito was going to miss the next 4 races until the final round of the season, Iida substituted him for 4 rounds.

After Ito's comeback in the final round, Team LeMans placed in the podium.

2014: Return to Super GT[]

In the end of 2013, he announced that he would return to the series with the new LM corsa team, partnering with Hiroki Yoshimoto.
